2007 Sangiovese
The first red wine to be released from the elegant and expressive 2007 vintage, our Sangiovese is lithe and playful. Four rows of vines planted on South-facing slopes are meticulously managed by leaf pulling and fruit thinning, ripening a tiny crop of grapes that produces our most limited-production wine. The aromatic fruit profile includes red plums, raspberries and cranberries enhanced by subtle notes of rum raisin and hard candy. The blend is simple, with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from our Carolyn’s block added to bring richness to the mid-palate and provide the structure to balance the wine’s natural acidity
